Wacky Williams : Canned.

I totally fell in love with canning a few years back.  We started homesteading a few years back (primarily living off our farm's produce and livestock) and really love it.  We are independent, we work hard, and we stay warm from the fruits of our labor and eat well, with the fruits of our labor.  The kids help and are learning so much about where food comes from and how to respect the animals, and care for them.  We raise Chickens for meat and eggs, turkeys, cows for milk and meat, Just about every fruit bearing tree and garden vegetable.  We usually raise pigs too, but took a year off after flipping the house we recently sold.   This photo is my favorite thing... canned kiddos...LOL!   In all seriousness... Zeke took this photo with the 'big camera'.  I was proud of him for not dropping it, and actually getting the can in focus.  I might make a photographer out of them yet :)  Enjoy!
