Dramatic lighting wins Spring Special!

So, David and I thought we needed new Facebook profile photos, and decided that after all the RidgePoint Father Daughter Dance images, we should try that style on us! Every other shot was interrupted by little Lex, trying to climb the flash unit and dismantle the camera, but we managed to get a bunch that we thought were nice. It's weird... I certainly like being behind the camera instead of in front of it :) After all the attempts, we decided this will be our Spring Special... Details to come soon. It brought great results even through all the difficulties of setting it up around a crawling child, and getting the focus, and lights and.... you name it, it probably distracted us. So, the Dramatic lighting for families in mini session form, will be our Special for this spring. Dates to be determined and the special cost and details will be posted soon. :)

Elyse : Mini Session

This is my little sister Elyse. We did a mini session with her for taking our family photos, and this was SERIOUSLY a mini session. I think we spent 3 minutes with her after she spent 30 minutes trying to get our boys to look at her and get some of the ideas I had in mind for our family picts. :) These are just too cool... she claims she just got out of bed and wasn't ready for pictures, but I think she looks fantastic :) We'll be seeing a lot of her over the summer for her Engagement Session, and Bridal session before her wedding in 2012. Our Family : Family

My sister was kind enough to take our family photos on a last minute request. David called her Sunday morning to ask, because I liked the lighting and the weather and knew it was going to be our last chance to get our family photos taken in the snow. We only had a couple ideas, but it still took about 30 minutes to arrange the kiddos and get them to look anywhere in the direction of the camera. I love the results and totally want one of these blown up in a huge print on my wall! :)

Kyle & Heather : Engagement

This lovely couple blessed us with a wonderful winter session! The snowflakes fell softly and the temperature was comfortable for a snowy day. With a little help from those awesome little hand warmers, David, myself, Kyle and Heather made a trip around Main Street in Zeeland really enjoyable! Kyle and Heather will be saying 'I Do' in May of this year and we are so excited for their wedding day! We talked wedding colors and flowers while we walked, and stopped them occasionally for an awesome opportunity to get some shots of them showing off their love :) Congrats Kyle and Heather! We'll see you again in 3 short months!

Resemblance?

This is Zeke at 11 months old.

He loves his bear, Mr. Cuddles, who has really taken a love beating since this photo.... We had a back up bear in case Mr. Cuddles ever kicked the bucket, and have given him to Lex...
