Losik : Family Love

 Here's a family that I've really gotten to know over the last few years!  I met them while trimming their horses feet about 6 years ago.  I've had the opportunity to help guide their daughter Kasey, ride her pony, and now photograph their family of 3.  With both parents as teachers in the area, it's been great having someone help me prep my kids for school, learning what they need to do and know to get ready for school.  :)  Enjoy some teasers of the Losik Family Love Session!!

Matt & Amy : Wedding

What a great day!  Matt & Amy were an amazing couple to work with and we had a great time at their wedding.  This was a couple looking to have some FUN on their wedding day.... Casey : Senior Rep 2014!

 I'm starting my 'rep' program a little early this year.  Instead of gathering our reps for shots in the spring, when EVERYTHING is muddy and dead, we are trying fall.  Now, this will be fun because they are really only beginning Juniors in High School, but seeing their changes into beautiful young people will be worth it!  This is Casey.  She is my cousin, and quite the hottie if I must say so.  I'd love to say I can compete with her looks, but who am I kidding, eh?  LOL!  She is one of 12 cousins on my mom's side, and I've gotten to know her while working with horses, and photography!  The best of both my worlds ;)  

If you know of a girl graduating from an area High School, class of 2014, have them contact me to become a rep!  Great discounts, fun sessions, and extra photos.... what girl can resist that, huh?

Megan : Hamilton 2013

Crazy small world!  Megan asked me if we could do some photos with her and her horse Lady, and we later discovered that about 5 years ago, I was out doing farrier work on Lady at her house!  I had a lot of clients back then and didn't remember exactly who I worked for and their horses, but Lady was definitely one of them :)  What a beautiful pair!  Megan is an amazingly talented young Dressage rider, and it was fun talking about the 'horse stuff'.  Megan is such a mature young woman too!  Most of the time I get the call from the mom of my seniors, but Megan did all the scheduling and questioning about her senior session... I was impressed!  Enjoy a few teasers!  Ended up being a great day for a photoshoot (between the rain storms!)

Ashton & Jenni : Engagement

Jenni & Ashton are planning an AWESOME beach wedding next June!  We are so excited!  We have almost photographed 100 weddings now and believe it or not, this might be the first 'beach' wedding! (We've done a few on the lake, but not on the actual beach)  LOL.  

Jenni was a bridesmaid at a wedding we shot in 2011, and we are thrilled that now it's finally her turn!!!

Megan : Holland High 2013

Megan is in the orchestra, and would you believe it that she is the first senior this year to proudly display the instrument she plays in her senior photos?!  Well, I loved it :)  What was even more fun about Megan, was that she had 'played' at our house before we owned it!  It was no unfamiliar territory for her, but things have changed a bit around our place since we bought it.  Megan is a friend of Lauren, who was on the blog earlier this summer, and it was a joy to photograph this shy yet beautiful young lady.... Shavonne : Holland Christian 2013

Congrats to Shavonne, who will be graduating from Holland Christian, class of 2013!  Shavonne is involved with the set design for the upcoming theatrical performance of "Once Upon a Mattress".  She loves animals, which worked out well as we live in an animal-friendly environment.  She brought her Aunt and Uncle's dog Tucker for part of her session, and he LOVED chasing cats and smelling the farm smells :) Shavonne's style was fun and unique.... Gotta LOVE the bow tie and suspenders.... I'd wear them if I were brave enough to pull off that style.  Shavonne had a good point though, the bow tie goes best with short hair.... :)  I was hoping she would take her guitar or some of her art (as I hear she's a great artist!), but we stuck to a little more classic style for her session.  Thanks Shavonne!

Bourke : Celebration

My good friend Kevin was married in July in Las Vegas.  His family celebrated with a 'formal' reception in Holland over the Labor Day weekend and we were invited (with our kids) to come and enjoy the celebration and be the photographers!  Super fun!  It's awesome to see Kevin so happy with an amazing girl, Kristina.  They are a match made in Heaven, and I can't wait to see how their relationship with continue to strengthen as time goes by.  Kev, I'm so happy for you, and am thankful for your friendship through the tough teen years.  You were more helpful then you know, and I thank God for you and your kindness.  Kristina, you've found an amazing man who will treat you like a jewel.  God Bless you both!
