Ryan & Kristyn : Engagement
Kristyn and Ryan were a blast! They will be married in April of 2011, and they took us downtown Saugatuck for their Engagement session. It was a beautiful fall day for Michigan, and Kristyn and Ryan both were naturals in front of the camera, which is a rare combination :) We will have a blast on their wedding day, and can't wait for it to come! Check out some teasers! Kristyn is absolutely gorgeous and Ryan could model for Abercrombie.... except he'd rather wear more clothes they those models tend to :) lol! Thanks guys!!!

Halloween : Leisure
On a last minute decision, we took the boys trick-or-treating in Zeeland. Zeke wore his cowboy outfit from last year (yes, it's too small) and Lex was a pumpkin but no one could tell from the carseat :) Zeke learned how to say 'trick-or-treat' after about 4 houses, and we stopped after about 10 :) It was fun, but chaotic. We worked on the house all day, then came home and rushed around to get the boys ready.... thank goodness we are home and the boys are all tuckered out. They should sleep tonight... (I say sleep, and not sleep-good for a reason... sleep has not been happening at our house lately). I can finally get some work done on processing all the engagement shoots I'm behind on! :) Have a great weekend!

What keeps me behind : Leisure
We closed on our farm house on Sept. 30! It's ours! And now, the hard work. Like most foreclosures/repos, it was destroyed. With holes punched in the walls and all the appliances missing (including furnace and water heater....air conditioning unit and everything else you can think of...) we've been scurrying around to get them in for the inspections. Then.... we were told our house we are currently in,....(rental) sold and we had 30 days to get out! AHHHHHH!!!! 2 boys, 2 businesses, and a full time job.... we were in a panic! Well, we are trusting God to take care of us in this process. We will be without a studio for a couple months, but hope to do what we can to finish up the free baby shoots that are all contracted out. Sorry if we are behind on any of our e-mails. We are doing our best to keep up with life for a while. Prayers for a smooth transition and our sanity with the boys and each other would be appreciated! :) Here's a couple pictures as we fix 'ur up :)

Braxton : Miracle
Little Braxton is 8 days old here. He is the gorgeous little guy of Emily Ensing and Sam Nou. Braxton wasn't up for being too sleepy... mostly just content and curious at everything in the studio. I'm getting to see it all with these free infant sessions... a 23 day old that slept the whole time, and an 8 day old who didn't really show interest in sleep! :) I love um all! Most of Braxton I have of him with his eyes open, but it's still super cute, and most mom's try sooooo hard to get a photo of them with their baby's eyes open and can't, so this did the trick! :) Enjoy the teasers of little Braxton!

Devisser : Family
Once again, our family took the time to do our own family photos... we have to be the hardest family to photograph... WE CAN'T TAKE THEM OURSELVES!!!! We were dependant on David to set it up, me to pose, and Elyse's boyfriend, Bob, to actually take them.... Getting the little two to look was next to impossible, so we all settled on knowing that wouldn't be something to worry about.

Laila : Miracle
Laila is 10 days old here. David and I photographed both her mom and dad as part of a couple different wedding parties over the last 3 years :) It's great to see their family get started, and this beautiful little girl was great for her first photoshoot. Enjoy the teasers for little Laila!

Steven & Ashley : Wedding
My little sister was married on a beautiful fall day in Greenville, MI October 1st. She and Steven had chosen an outdoor wedding on his family's old farm. I told her that I wouldn't wear a dress, so it ruled me out of being a bridesmaid :) Luckily though, I got to photograph the whole day. Working for family can have it's goods, and it's bads, but I was amazed at the flow of the day and the organization. Things lined up as they should... with the exception of a small threat of rain, the day was perfect! Ashley was a gorgeous bride, and Steven was a super handsome Groom. Getting to see him in a tux was a change for me... I was used to his sleeveless shirts and work boots. Well, Congrats to you both! I can't wait to show you the whole collection!!!!!

Ed's Garage : An Awesome Collection
My Grandpa has some of the coolest cars and for his birthday, (Yes, back in August....) All his kids decided to give him someway to display his cars creatively.... They made the mistake of asking us, and hence the delay from his birthday in early August :) This one took a long while to create since photoshop is to be credited for this design :) Thanks!

Chas : Senior
Chas got to enjoy the great outdoors with us, bugs and all.
After rescheduling his photoshoot around colds, injuries, AP class homework, college apps and scholarships,
... not to mention Football practice,
we connected forhis outdoor Senior photography session.
We were blessed with a beautiful night to literally RUN around with Chas from location to location while we had great lighting.
After all the fun and running, Chas still had the energy to through out his heart melting smile. Ladies, it's going to be hard not to swoon over these eyes and smile!
