Ruthven : Family Love

Here's a familiar family to the blog!  The Ruthven family has returned for an update of their family photos with one more sister-in-law and one extra grand baby!  It's so cool to see families as they change and grow.  Creating memories of ever-changing families has been important to this family and I totally agree!  (thus our Wacky Williams images so our family has documentation of our growth, week by week) :) Enjoy a few teasers of the Ruthven Family!

Wacky Williams : New Actions

This past spring, like coming out of most winters, I felt like I was in a creative rut.  I didn't get a chance to go to our Imaging USA convention because of the house flip we were doing, and I didn't have a lot of time to re-inspire myself to get moving in this 2016 shooting year.  David helped me out with a photoshoot with his guitar (a re-kindled passion for him), and we ran it through a bunch of new actions I purchased for Photoshop.    Here's the same photo of David in our studio with several of the actions run through it.  I have a few more that I will show at the proper time :)

Olivia & Ava : Sister shoot

Olivia and Ava are the kiddos of one of my good High School friends!   Ashley has moved to Chicago for College and now married and living there right inside the big city!   I've spied on some of our past friends through instagram and such, but this was my first chance to meet the famous little ones!  We met at the Grand Haven State Park, which I can't really remember ever seeing the pier and lighthouse there in person before.  It was a nice warm and super sunny August day and the beach was a popular place!  Her kiddos are about 2 1/2 and 6 months, and were charmed by the sand, water, and everything beach.  Ashley, you have a beautiful family, and have remained a beautiful momma!  I'm excited to spy a little more and watch them grow... most likely, much taller than me.  LOL!  Enjoy a few teasers of these cuties!

Timmer : Family Love

This family is a fellow Calvary family.... (meaning, we send our kids to the same school) They won a family session from the Calvary auction this past spring.  So, we fit their family session in on a nice hot and humid Sunday afternoon.  They have a beautiful new house coming up on a river's edge with a groove/forrest of wildlife.   It was PERFECT!  Their children were polite and respectful, and fun!  They are some amazing people, raising some great kids, and I'm happy to know another group of folks from our Calvary school family!  Enjoy a few teasers!

Wacky Williams : Pure in Heart

My church is studying the Beatitudes.... 1 each week over the summer, and I was asked to help out with a few images for it to be displayed 'gallery style'.  This one was one of my favorites.  I love the imagery, and depth behind it.  'Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."  Matthew 5:8

This is my Lex, a 'pure in heart', who LOVES Jesus, and talks and asks about Jesus like he's a good friend.  I love that about his character.  He's so trusting, pure, and beautiful in his little walk with God at only 6 years old.  He really shows me what it means to be 'like a little child', as Jesus talks to his disciples, to explain our heart condition in a relationship to God.   Enjoy a fun twist on the Wacky Williams...
