Praise God for Rest!

Today, with everything moving so fast and people trying to achieve higher and higher goals, it seems that rest is rarely granted. With most of the working world and our societies demand for things here and now, Sunday's no longer a common day of rest. It's great to have a day to spend with Family. We have been blessed to have one day of rest a week and enjoy our family with no obligations. For those of you who don't have that opportunity, have a GREAT Labor day holiday! Rest, get refreshed, enjoy your families, and remember those who work so hard to provide for you. Thank the Lord for the working opportunities he's provided you and for your talents to perform them.

Secret to Our Success : Guide for photographers

David and I really debated about posting this or not, but decided it's not a big secret anyway, as it is a public product. Back in April of 2008, we attended an expensive seminar that started the change in our photography. It was sponsored by Photo vision and we subscribed to it there and then. Photo vision is a DVD magazine for digital photographers of all types. It sends us a DVD every other month that gives tips and updates on new photography programs and styles of photography. They interview photographers who show the most success in their businesses and they explain how they market, do sales, process images, work with the clients, and learn camera and lighting settings. It's Awesome! Well, they have sent us a link with a discount that we can offer anyone who wants to subscribe. It's about $40 for a year (normally like $149). Happy Birthday David!

David, my sister Kelly, my Aunt Kelly, my dog Parker and my late Great Grandpa all have birthdays within 5 days of each other. This week is that major birthday week. David's is today, and therefore it's blogged! I can't believe the handsome young man I met at 21 years old is turning 28 today!!!! Age slips by faster each year! For the fun of it, I'm going to put in a couple pictures from when I met David.... If you know David now, you will NOT recognize him in these photos. He's changed a bit. :)

4 Years!

David and I celebrated 4 years of marriage August 26! I can't believe how fast the time is passing! 2 boys and 2 businesses later... here we are! David surprized me with a picnic dinner at Kollen Park, and he took care of the food, gift and child care so we could have about 2 hours to 'date' again. It was so romantic, and it's great to see that those racing heartbeats, and stomach butterflies can still happen when I'm around David. He's really completed me. It can be so cliche to say that, but I honestly know that it is soooo true! I thought I'd post about our anniversary before we get too caught up in life again. God has really blessed our family and our business these last 4 years, and that's about all that can be said for that! Since blogging for me has to contain an image, here is a photo of my boys and a few of the gift David gave me at the park on our picnic dinner :) My beautiful dudes...

Eli : Senior

Senior season is about half way through, and we got some of the coolest opportunities this year. With absolutely NO advertising we have almost as many seniors as the years when we have spent a pretty penny on marketing. We have had twins, football players, country girls, the fun and the cute, and now this handsome young man, Eli. Eli was a ton of fun.... and as everyone knows, guys just aren't into their senior photos like girls are. Still, Eli did awesome!!! .... He put up with us AND our stupid jokes through the whole session, and was still smiling at the end. Thanks so much Eli! Here are a few teasers.
