Konynenbelt : Epic

This family is one after my own heart!  They came to me and told me they don't want all 'traditional' photos, so Karyn (the artist/painter) and I planned out a composite image for their family.  

Something that allowed each person to have their own identity.  

Family life as it is.

Messy, goofy, REAL.  

We shot this in the studio (and car on the yard) and over the last month, I've compiled it to make an epic image to put their vision into print.  They are going to have a killer wall portrait, and Christmas card this year.  LOL!  It was a blast working with them and making their vision a reality.  Thanks guys!

Awakened Images Photography!

Enjoy our Epic Christmas card!  We had some fun making this card.  It's a 'Twilight/Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter" look, with a Lord of the Rings theme.  Although we love the dramatic twist to a good Christmas card, our hearts are only admiring the Christ Child during the Christmas season.  The Lord of Christmas, the Christ, will always be the reason for the season.  So as you Hustle around for those last minute presents, let God soften your hearts to accepting the best gift EVER!  It was given by God, and was a way for us to join him in eternity, through the sacrifice of Jesus. 

 I love thinking about what heaven must have looked like as Jesus left Heaven for his Earthly experience... did they commission him away at the time of the Holy Spirit's conception with Mary, or did he leave heaven at his birth in that lowly stable/cave in Bethlehem? 

 Did the angels send him away, throwing a great party, or was it a time of sadness, as they knew the rejection Jesus was to receive from his beloved children on this earth?

I love "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 NIV.   

God didn't send us the opportunity to enter heaven because we were becoming good people... he didn't ask us to clean up our acts so he could give us a cool gift....  

He sent it to us, while we were cursing him, spitting in his face, and choosing our own lifestyles.   We didn't deserve it, and yet, he gives... and gives.

Ed's Garage : An Awesome Collection

My Grandpa has some of the coolest cars and for his birthday, (Yes, back in August....) All his kids decided to give him someway to display his cars creatively.... They made the mistake of asking us, and hence the delay from his birthday in early August :) This one took a long while to create since photoshop is to be credited for this design :) Thanks!

Ridge Point Community Church

On a last minute call, we were invited to shoot for Ridge Point's Opening of their big new Auditorium! It was excellent... we were given permission to shoot from back stage, and from all over! We focused on the auditorium and the new stage, and all the seating, but there was sooooo much more going on! The church was packed! Here are some of the awesome new facility where our church can reach out to more people then ever before!!!! The balcony area

Pastor Jim- Something fun about Pastor Jim - When he gets overwhelmed, or emotional, he automatically spins his wedding band around. It's so down to earth how he acts, and treats people, and handles the issues people bring to him. He's great!

We have begun dabbleing in different areas of photography lately, including nature, maternity, and corporate. This post is for corporate headshots. Tiara Spring Catalog Photo Shoot

We were given the AWESOME opportunity to help out with Tiara Yachts Spring Catalog photo shoot. We had just started our practices in Commercial photography when this chance hit us right between the eyes. We had beautiful models, great clothes, and an upbeat Tiara staff to direct us from start to finish. We hope for the opportunity next year as well, and thank Tiara Yachts for the experiance, as well as our friend with Captured Perspectives Photography! Thanks Jen and Steph!
