Hardy : Family Love

It's nice working with a family of adults for a change....It's easy.  No melt downs, bribes or snack breaks :)  LOL!  It's also so cool to get the call to photograph a family that is "all together" during the holidays.  So often, I take for granted that I live by all my family, and forget that some people only see each other during holidays or vacations.  

 This family met me downtown Grand Haven for a photo shoot, which provided us with some great urban settings, but without the flocks of people walking the streets.... I don't blame them, it was like 40 degrees :)   Enjoy a few teasers!

Balkema : Kiddos

I was graced with the visit of my cousin and her 5 KIDS last week for a photo shoot, and I was amazed at how well they did!  The youngest, (3 months old, was even super cooperative) and it was great to see them all in my studio for the first time. :)  I guess I can see why they have 5 kids.... They make them CUTE! LOL!  Here's a few teasers of some of the individual shots!

Engers : Just Waiting

After 3 pregnancies myself, I've known how a preggo lady can move, bend, sit, etc.  Well, this girl passed me up, because nothing was too hard, uncomfortable, or outside of the limits for her!  She was super optimistic and willing to try any and all of the ideas I laid forth.  It was a blast!!  Now, she's a photographer, and being so, I was totally nervous to shoot her maternity session.  I had to keep telling myself, 'You know what you're doing, just be confident and DO IT!'... lol!  Anyway, there really wasn't a reason to be nervous, because it all went great, and it will be fun getting to see them again just after the new year with a little baby bundle!  Congrats guys! Enjoy!

Elijah : Miracle

 Elijah was born 6 weeks early, and spent about 3 weeks in the NICU as a premie.  He's doing great, and is over 30 days old here for his photo shoot.  Already 2 pounds bigger, he wasn't as interested in sleeping for his session, but had fantastic eye control... something I don't get much from babies much younger :) Eli is the son of my good high school friend and second cousin.  Enjoy a few images of Eli!
